The
Energy of Money
A Spiritual Guide to Financial and Personal Fulfillment
by Maria Nemeth, Ph.D.
The
Energy of Money presents 12 Principles for personal fulfillment.
Through them you will begin to develop mastery with the energy of
money. You will uncover the hidden landscape of beliefs, behavior
patterns, and habits that underlie and sometimes subvert how you
use money and other forms of energy. You learn to unleash and focus
the energy of money, how to express your Life’s Intentions through
meaningful goals, how to handle the difficulties that inevitably
arise as you approach the border between dreams and physical reality,
and how to live in forgiveness, support, and abundance.
Principle
1: Your greatest power is to be willing.
Being willing is simply the power to say
“Yes” – even in the midst of doubts, worries, fears, dislikes, objections,
and all your Monkey Mind conversations. It gives you everything
you need to develop a powerful relationship with money. Being willing
could be called the one true act of “being.” It calls forth who
you are in your heart and transcends the chattering of Monkey Mind.
Being willing is your ticket to a life of creativity, power, and
fulfillment.
Principle 2: Your intentions and integrity harness the
energy of money.
The first tool is a list of your
personal Standards of Integrity. These Standards of Integrity are
your reference points for personal power. When you are in accordance
with them, life is sweet, easy, and exciting. The second tool, a
list of your Life’s Intentions, helps you define the meaningful
purposes you have for your life. These insights will keep you focused
on what you are here to be, do, and contribute.
Principle 3: Goals focus your money energy.
The purpose of this chapter is to rehabilitate
your innate capacity to create goals that reflect your true nature
and Life’s Intentions. This chapter will give you ways to infuse
your goals with the energies of money, time, creativity, physical
vitality, enjoyment, and support.
Principle 4: Driven behavior wastes money energy.
The next three chapters are about identifying
inner blocks to progress. You will learn how to deal with your dragons,
so that you can keep moving forward. What do you do when you step
out on your path and encounter your old ways of proceeding? How
do you go beyond your self-created patterns? Do you throw more energy
at it in the forms of physical vitality, time, and money?
Principle 5: Scarcity is one of your greatest teachers.
In this chapter we will address one of
our greatest fears, especially where money is concerned – scarcity.
Scarcity is one of our deepest fears. It is the mind’s experience
of the limits that are a natural part of physical reality. No matter
how enlightened or conscious – or rich – we may be, we encounter
scarcity, naturally and repeatedly, every day.
Principle 6: Transforming inner blocks liberates money
energy.
We’re going to uncover what basic assumption
you have made about life, yourself, and others that is most likely
to be at the center of your Monkey Mind thinking. What happens within
two weeks of your New Year’s resolutions? What comes up when you
pull out that investing information one more time, or begin a physical
fitness program over and over again?
Principle 7: Releasing old beliefs brings miracles.
Monkey Mind wants to be “right” at any
cost – even if it needs to manufacture incorrect “facts”
about the way life works. The Monkey sees scarcity as its greatest
enemy, and it constructs an entire belief system around its fear
and defenses against all “enemies.” Even when the Monkey is relatively
quiet, our minds set to work creating what I call “structures of
knowing” to define and clarify – accurately or inaccurately – the
world around us.
Principle
8: Forgiveness unleashes money energy.
Three components of forgiveness:
•
Forgiveness is letting go of negative structures of knowing that
you have created about another human being.
• Forgiveness comes
from your essence – who you are in your heart.
It is a product of being willing.
• Monkey Mind takes
longer than your heart to catch on.
Principle
9: Making and keeping promises moves you along your path.
In this chapter you’ll learn more about
how to dance with the energy of money. As a result of doing the
work thus far, you may see that dreams that have seemed beyond you
are beginning to take shape. You are starting to see them more vividly.
Just seeing your life in new ways allows energy to flow toward what
you long for. You begin to dance with the energies around you.
Principle
10: Obstacles can lead to breakthroughs.
These obstacles and surprises can be disorienting,
and even seem to slow down your progress. While you may initially
see these surprises as pitfalls and obstacles, they are integrally
linked to the way your life is changing.
Principle
11: Mutual support increases your power.
Behind every great success is a team of
supporters. All of us deserve and can find the energy of support.
Your life will be creative and easy if you give and receive that
energy. People who are successful have learned to help others and
to be helped. This mutual support amplifies our own natural courage,
faith, and confidence.
Principle
12: The gateway to abundance is gratitude.
It’s time to comprehend and grasp the true
nature of abundance. If you’re willing, you’ll soon discover that
you’ve known what it was all along. That’s the power of all the
work you’ve done to clear yourself as a conscious conduit of energy.
We increase our power by embracing life’s abundance – by saying
yes. And we develop our ability to do this by practicing gratitude.
